Last weekend a Big Deal. We spent three hours on Saturday at the NEW McDonald's on Portolla. Ronald was there and everyone had a blast.McDonald's is turning into Jack's favorite place to play. The new McDonald's has an indoor play area with a two story tree house. Jack played last Saturday for over an hour and a half with kids who came to see Ronald.
The crowd was like the lunch room at the United Nations. After an hour we saw a European [aka white] family like us. Prior to that, it was all third world. Irvine is a "mecca" [ha, good word use] for families from all over
the globe. Many are from India and Pakistan. Others are from Syria, Iran and Egypt. Still many more are from Asia. Plenty of Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese and Indonesian.Jack could care less where these kids are from. He asked a boy from Korea, "will you be my friend?" The kid said yes and off they went to play.
MacDonald's has turn out to be the common denominator in the rush to Globalization. Kids from everywhere just can't wait to see Ronald and eat a happy meal. It was a cool three hours in international studies. You can see Pam had fun too.
